Our Story

Dream it.

The person above with the bright red hair was me 30 years ago! I was always striving to work with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in a newer, more imaginative way. Because I wasn’t happy with the service policies that were in place, I became an advocate to providing unique services. My goal was empowering rather than limiting. I feel flexibility is needed in all aspects of job placement. TLN is here to support people’s unique visions and dreams.

Build it.

The Learnability Network is a culmination of my experience in human services with children and adults with disabilities, and my experience consulting for businesses and corporations in leadership skills, personal development and organizational development. I have written and created many team and personal growth tools that promote resilience, value, empathy, adaptability, authenticity, accountability and more. I have experience in organizational structure and development, so not only will the people we serve benefit from personal development and growth, but our staff will be paid livable wages and enjoy their own growth and autonomy.

Grow it.

There is a big difference between service centered providers and person-centered providers. We are a new approach to person-centered services! The people we serve choose the time, place and direction they will go. We have created an appointment system to assist in scheduling who they wish to work with, when it is convenient and what they would like to accomplish. Our goal is to assist our participants with their options and obtain their objectives.
